As of now there are also the correspondending installation packages for Ubuntu, Fedora, Suse, Gentoo, Slackware. Here I would like to answer one of the most common questions:
If the Cuon Client is installed , it need not to be installed again. The client updates itselfs automatically to match the used server version .
Click here to download the Cuon Client for Ubuntu / Debian. Normally you should now install an appropriate program to open by . Deb packages. Just install it and everything will be fine! Otherwise:
Save the file to disk, then install it manually.
Please open a terminal and type the following (as root or as root) sudo apt-get install wget bash python-gtk2 python-glade2 python-imaging python-gnome2 python-python-gtkmozembed gtksourceview2
Then in the download directory run this:
sudo dpkg-i cuon-client-1.0-all.deb
Now any user can start the Cuon Client from the menu.
Cuon Setup
This program is used to setup and configure the server Cuon. It can be installed on any client. Please, it is necessarily to read here in the Wiki (documentation) the installation documentation. This graphical front end they can start managing Cuon server, User Setup, Reports and 100 things more!

Now the administrator can configure the Postgres SQL server and restart, then run the setup in the configuration client.

To install this is also the same like the Debian Packages above, here is the download, look above at the Debian Section for Information.
To install on Windows Systems like Windows 98, 2000, XP, Vista, Windows 7 download this file:
Windows Client zip file and then unpack that at c:\,
so you have then a folder c:\cuon. In this folder edit the c:\cuon\bin\cuon.ini and set your username, password and cuon server name/address.

You can here download a full CUON VirtualBox Image
C.U.O.N. Installation on a Lucid Lynx Image with postgres, C.U.O.N. Server, Updater and Client. The username is cuon, the password is also cuon. This is a full version of the C.U.O.N. System. Full installed and updateable !!! Can also be used out of the box as a C.U.O.N. Server with clients on other hosts.

C.U.O.N. three different types of computers
Server CuonAdmin, Client
The server should be a stand-alone computer or a virtual machine in each case without GUI. As a single-user login is provided root. This will only trust in the postgresql-mode and the cuonserver.
The CuonAdmin needs a GUI, just as the manager or client.
SuSE
For the users of the SuSE distro is available in a few days pre-configured packages when Millin-Verlag. Looks easy off and on over here . This will help the server or client are easily installed via YAST on SuSE.
